Tintin comes to life (or to a theater conveniently located near you)

I went to see Tintin the other day with my family. We'd been debating whether or not it was worth going. While my mom was convinced it was going to be THE movie of the year, my dad was rather skeptical and even downright pessimistic. Apparently all other attempts to put Tintin on the big screen were failures. So why should this be any different? Nevertheless we bought our tickets and made sure we got to the movie theater early enough to pick the best seats.
We all seemed to be on the same page as we left the theater. Spielberg is indeed a genius. Even my dad admitted that he did a great job with the movie. The transmissions seem effortless and are very creative, but the most impressive aspect of the film was who realistic the animations were. I sometimes wondered if Spielberg had juxtaposed some scenes shot with real actors with scenes with animated figures! As for the plot, there were elements from many different Tintin adventures... and it worked! Spielberg's first ever animated film is surely worth watching. I strongly recommend going to see this movie, even if its just to reminisce about your childhood for 107 minutes!
