On New Year's Eve, I sat down with my family to see "Fireproof" the story of an Albany Fire Captain, Caleb Holton, trying to save his failing marriage. While both he and his wife are intent on divorce (on the grounds that they are 'incompatable'), Caleb is contacted by his father who dares him to postpone the decision during which time he would attempt a new pattern of behavior for 40 days, in the hope of saving the marriage. Through this movie, and the advice given to Caleb by his father and happily married best friend, the maker of this movie shows all the mistakes that can cause a relationship to fail and teaches the principles (from a christian prespective) that any person should follow in order to trully love and honor their mate.
This movie is appropriate for anyone in a relationship or out, and is a healthy lesson in learning to liten to others around us, and reach a full potential of love. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
