Wednesday night I was following my nightly routine with my father, watching eye witness News. And there, on eye witness news, was the report of a woman saved because of facebook. Her ex boyfriend kept her and her 12 months son captive in his house. She saved her son and herself by closing herself in a closet and putting as a status update on facebook "I am having a serious problem and me and (my son) will be dead by morning,” This informed her friends to alert the authorities of her situation who then quickly found her and her son. To my surprise a similar incident happened the day after, a woman was bailed out then forced in prostitution, through facebook she was able to send a message to her brother asking for help. He contacted the local authorities and thus the woman was saved. Is this a conspiracy created by steve job's to advertise facebook? I highly doubt that, facebook has proven to be aside a reasonTeenagers procrastanate, and hand in homework late but a tool that can aid justice.
